Is the plant going to go on vacation to Crawford every three months?
Perhaps it will handle no domestic sewage and instead try to clean up horrible messes thousands of miles away.

I've always found it amazing that the News-Gazette is regarded as a "conservative" newspaper by the local political class, especially when the paper employs openly visible left-wing loons such as Tom "Stop Racism!" Kacich. I don't make this comment because of Tom's hatred of W and most other Republicans, for actually I can't stand most of them either. (For the record I'm a Ron Paul conservative; scary, huh Tom?)
It's simply pathetic what passes for official conservatism these days. Be that as it may, unfortunately for you Tom, your boy Obama is going to be handily defeated by the warmonger John McCain this fall. But don't fret; McCain will continue to keep the borders wide open to the third world invasion, will not oppose homosexual "marriage," will do nothing to stop abortion, and probably will try to further restrict our gun rights. In short, McCain will give you "news" media folks about 80-90% of everything you would have got with your boy Obama.
Of course, being the liberal fanatic you are Tom, that will not be enough to satisfy you and nearly everyone else in the "news" media. I'm so happy to be an EX-subscriber to the News-Gazette!

As a Ron Paul republican, you should be aware that RP is on the record as doing nothing at the federal level regarding homosexual marriage. He has stated repeatedly that it is a state issue and that "Conservatives in particular should be leery of anything that increases federal power"
Today there exist fiscal Conservatives, and Social Conservatives. To wit, most anti-war Democrats fall solidly in the 'fiscal conservative' category, as it is the biggest cost to our country right now.

Ron Paul's picture is in the dictionary next to the word "irrelevant."
And yes, it would be terrible if gun rights were restricted. Then people couldn't purchase several handguns in the span of two weeks and shoot up campuses.
I'm sure the Founding Fathers intended for people to own a dozen high-powered weapons at the same time and to use them for mass murders of innocent citizens.

Thanks for your comments DW. I agree with Ron Paul, as what he is advocating is something that liberals hate, and that is a return to true federalism. This notion is anathema to the "news" media and the modern liberal establishment, who have won most of their major victories through the usurped powers assumed by the national government and, in particular, the federal courts.
Your assertion that "anti-war" Democrats are fiscal conservatives is, however, both false and silly. The Amerikan occupation of Iraq and related Middle East hegemony is primarily driven by Amerikan devotion to Israel and a commitment to Zionist conquest of Islam. Indeed, there is no single issue that unifies politicians of both parties and the Amerikan "news" media more than Israel.

To Wenalway: The Founding Fathers could not have imagined an America where the majority of citizens would adore collectivist buffoons such as Barack Obama and Oprah Winfrey. Second Amendment rights aside, what you dont know, and what the lying news media will never tell you, is that higher rates of gun ownership and, in particular, the concealed carry of guns, actually reduces violent street crime.
Because of the massive number of non-whites in modern Amerika, this country is always going to be plagued by high violent street crime rates (some European countries, as well as Australia, are now learning this lesson the hard way). However, as a practical matter it is essential that law-abiding citizens have the tools to defend themselves from the predator class that Amerikan welfare and immigration policies have bred. Besides, history clearly shows the biggest mass murderers on the planet are governments, not private citizens-and that includes the U.S. government.
As for Ron Paul, I agree that he is essentially irrelevant. The majority of Amerikans have lost their taste for authentic freedom & liberty, and are comfortable living in an increasingly socialized country where the government is the main provider and allocator of rights. This is the Age of Oprah, after all.

I'm not going to indulge your blatantly racist claims, but I will agree slightly that the threat of a concealed weapon probably deters some criminals.
That being said, I don't think anyone can say the current gun policies are working. When lunatics can make legal, multiple gun purchases in a short time and then commit mass homicide, something is wrong.
