Bresnan Meeting Center

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Friday, 8 am to 5 p.m.
Douglass Community Center
512 E. Grove St. — 398-2573
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, noon to 5 p.m.
Features:Multipurpose facility; full-size gymnasium that houses six basketball goals and a stage. Eager Beaver Preschool is also on site and open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Douglass Annex
804 N. Fifth St. — 398-2572
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Features:This facility is equipped with a large activity room, computer lab, kitchen, lounge, pool table, ping-pong table, television, piano, and exercise equipment. The annex is available to rent for meetings or family activities.
Prairie Farm
2202 W. Kirby Ave. — 398-2583
Hours: Daily 1 to 7 p.m.; open May 27 through Sept. 4.
Hays Recreation Center
1311 W. Church St. — 398-2580
Hours: Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Features:This multipurpose recreation center provides educational, social, recreational and fitness programs for preschool, youths, adults and mature adults. The recreation center is equipped with two activity rooms and is available to rent weekday evenings and on weekends.
Kaufman Lake Boathouse
2612 W. Springfield — 398-2570
Features:Hayrack and fire ring rentals can be made April 1 to Oct. 31. The boathouse is available for rental year-round.
Leonhard Recreation Center
2112 W. Sangamon Drive — 398-2571
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Features:This multipurpose facility has a variety of programming, including fitness classes, social events, volleyball, basketball and summer day camp. Open gym time is also scheduled monthly and costs residents $1 for basketball and $2 for volleyball.
Sholem Aquatic Center
Sangamon Drive in Centennial Park — 398-2581
Hours: Weekdays, 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; weekends/holidays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Features: Two zero-depth entry pools with spray features, 8,000-square-foot activity pool and 1,500-square-foot kiddie pool. Three water rides: 660-foot lazy river raft ride; 197-foot body flume slide ride; 170-foot tube slide ride into river. Eight 25-yard lap lanes. Shade and sun areas. Family restrooms. Bathhouse.
Spalding Park Skatepark
910 N. Harris St.
Features:Skatepark consists of 18,000 square feet of concrete with three bowls, a snake run and a street course. Skatepark is free and open seven days a week for skateboarders and inline skaters.
Spalding Pool

Hours: Weekdays, 1 to 5 p.m.; weekends/holidays, 11a.m. to 6 p.m.
Features:Spalding Pool is open June 12 through Aug. 12.
Springer Cultural Center
301 N. Randolph St. — 398-2376
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Features:This century-old building in the heart of downtown Champaign is dedicated to the promotion and understanding of the visual and performing arts. People of all skill levels can join classes in visual art, music, dance and drama. Professional concerts and exhibits held in the lobby. The center has two large mirrored studios, a pottery studio, a wood shop and four preschool rooms. This provides for additional programming in fitness, health and wellness, woodworking and preschool development. Four meeting rooms are available for rent.
Spalding Recreation Center

Features:This facility has a large activity room and is available for organizations and group meetings.
Tennis Center
2802 Farber Drive — 352-6044
Features:Six indoor courts, with lessons, classes, workouts and permanent court time. It also offers racket-stringing services and is available for birthday parties.
Virginia Theatre
203 W. Park Ave. — 356-9063
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Features:Historic theater showcases movies (recent and classic), live music of all genres, comedians and other entertainment acts.
