Rantoul police seek info on three similar robberies
URBANA – Champaign County Crimestoppers and Rantoul police are looking for help solving three similar robberies and batteries that have occurred in Rantoul during June.
On Monday, June 8, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a 16-year-old male walking in the 400 block of South Chanute Street was approached by a group of males ranging in age from 15 to 18. The victim was punched in the face and knocked to the ground. He was then repeatedly kicked and punched until he lost consciousness. The attackers ran from the area.
