Testimony: Teen knew his friends planned to rob couple
INDIANOLA – The 17-year-old who police say drove two other men to an Indianola couple's home to rob them told Vermilion County sheriff's investigators that he knew the men were armed with a gun and planned to tie up the couple and rob them, according to Vermilion County investigator Todd Damilano.
Damilano testified Thursday in Vermilion County Circuit Court at the preliminary hearing of Zachary Spencer, 17, of rural Georgetown, who faces two Class X felony counts of home invasion for his role in the fatal Indianola home invasion on Sept. 21.
