Bar checks bring 32 tickets in Champaign

CHAMPAIGN — Police issued 32 tickets — 29 of them for underage drinking, two for possession on public property and one for  battery — in a series of bar checks over the weekend.

State and Champaign police conducted the bar checks on Friday and issued the following tickets:

— Clybourne, 706 S. Sixth St., 3 tickets.
— Joe’s Brewery, 706 S. Fifth St., 8 tickets.
— Station 211, 211 E. Green St., 8 tickets.
— Kam’s, 618 E. Daniel St., 7 tickets.
— Murphy’s Pub, 604 E. Green St., 3 tickets.
— On campus streets, 3 tickets.
