3 Urbana residents facing drug charges
URBANA – Three Urbana residents are due back in court next month to face charges that they had cannabis and psilocybin intended for sale in their home.
University of Illinois police Lt. Skip Frost said officers from his department, Urbana and the sheriff's office served a search warrant Thursday afternoon at a home in the 400 block of West Iowa Street in Urbana.
Assistant State's Attorney Chris Kanis said police recovered about 190 grams – a little more than 6 ounces – of suspected cannabis, and about 30 grams of psilocybin, also known as magic mushrooms.
Kanis said he charged the occupants of the home, Kirill Lagoutchev, 21, Cole Coats, 22, and Emily Sha, 31, with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver cannabis.
Each entered pleas of innocent and had their cases set for the Dec. 8 pretrial.
Judge John Kennedy set Logoutchev's bond at $5,000 and Coats' and Sha's bonds at $4,000. Frost said police also found numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia and about $400 cash in the home.
