State's fiscal woes hurting payments to Fisher district
FISHER – The state's grim financial picture means Fisher and other school districts won't receive state payments for transportation and special education this next budget cycle.
Superintendent Barb Thompson told the school board Monday night that although the state is expected to make its general state aid payments, not receiving that other money means $200,000 less for the district.
