Champaign woman who won high court ruling dead at 93
Vashti McCollum, the Champaign woman who successfully carried a dispute with the Champaign school district all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, died Sunday evening at Carle Arbours in Savoy. She was 93.
A memorial service will be arranged, said her son, former Champaign Mayor Dan McCollum.
