Danville housing board approves manhole repair
DANVILLE – The Danville Housing Authority board voted to fix a sinking manhole along Fairchild Street in front of the Fair Oaks housing complex Thursday afternoon.
The 18-foot-by-18-foot dip in the road surrounds a manhole in the 1700 block of Fairchild Street that the housing authority put in three years ago. Underlying fill surrounding the manhole has washed away, officials speculate.
