Tax ruling prompts call to 'fix' the law
DANVILLE – Supervisor of Assessments Don Crist expects an appeal of a local judge's decision on the property-tax status of the home of Danville Township Supervisor Roger Boen.
Associate Judge James Borbely on Wednesday upheld the Illinois Property Tax Review board's ruling that the manufactured home of Boen qualifies as a mobile home and is not subject to property tax. The case pits Boen against the Vermilion County Board of Review.
