5 teens in custody on mob action charges
URBANA – Five teens are in custody at the Champaign County Youth Detention Center following their arrest on juvenile mob action charges stemming from a crime spree in Urbana.
Assistant State's Attorney Lindsey Clark said in detention hearings Tuesday that the youths are accused of knocking garbage cans into the street, spraying a man with a fire extinguisher, throwing a brick through a van and throwing tin snips through a window of a house, injuring a male resident.
