Decatur educator to lead alternative school in Champaign
CHAMPAIGN – A Decatur special education administrator will be the principal of a new alternative academic academy that will begin this fall for Champaign high school students.
The Champaign school board on Monday night approved hiring Rhonda Howard of Decatur as principal of the alternative academy. Howard is currently administrator of alternative programming for Macon-Piatt Special Education. She previously was an elementary school social worker.
