Blaze in rural Newtown under investigation
RURAL NEWTOWN – Fire investigators still are trying to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed a home north of Newtown early Wednesday morning.
Oakwood firefighters were called to the blaze at 23344 North 900 East Road shortly after midnight. When they arrived, the one-story wood-frame home was engulfed in flames, said Tony Frye, chief of the Oakwood Fire Protection District.
