Champaign looking into plan to raise development fees
CHAMPAIGN – City officials will meet with developers and builders today to tell them about a plan to increase city development fees, such as for building permits, by an average of 25 percent to 30 percent.
A local developer said Monday that the proposed fee increases couldn't come at a worse time, given the dire state of the economy.
