Lawyer appealing judge's ruling in Danville garage death
DANVILLE – The attorney representing the father of a Danville teenager killed in a city parking garage in a 2006 accident intends to appeal a local judge's decision, which finds the city of Danville and a local construction company not liable.
"It seems unconscionable that no one is responsible for Chris' death," said Dennis J. DeCaro of Kupets and DeCaro in Chicago, who's representing Christopher Gaston Jr., the father of Charles Christopher Gaston. The 17-year-old died in April 2006 when a stairwell in a parking garage collapsed.
