UI physics professor presented with national science award
Longtime University of Illinois physics Professor Charles Slichter was awarded the National Medal of Science on Monday in a White House ceremony. Slichter was honored for his work in nuclear magnetic resonance.
President Bush presented Slichter and 15 others with the awards for their achievements in science, technology and innovation.
