Three boards hear concerns about green space at meeting
CHAMPAIGN – The plans for rebuilding Washington Elementary School and expanding Garden Hills Elementary School are only theoretical now. And voters still must approve a countywide sales tax increase to pay for the projects.
But members of the Champaign City Council, school board and park district board met jointly Monday night to talk about how they might work together to create better facilities for both schoolchildren and the community.
