Two school, city incumbents stepping down in Danville
DANVILLE – When candidates for the Danville City Council and Danville school board file nomination papers, two current members won't be among them.
ommie Reed, a Ward 1 alderman since 2004, and Pete Krainock, a school board member since 1997, each said they will step down when their term expires.
"I've really enjoyed it, but it's been 12 years," said Krainock, whose term expires in April. "I think it's time for some new blood."
