Durbin continuing push to advance FutureGen project
WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin said Monday that he and his staff are working to advance the proposed FutureGen project in Mattoon.
"It's something Barack (Obama) supports, and we hope that the new administration supports it too," he said. "We've talked to Dr. (Steve) Chu (Obama's Secretary of Energy) about trying to find a way to make it part of the energy package."
