Fence fire extinguished in Urbana
URBANA – It took firefighters less than 15 minutes to put out a small fence fire in the 1300 block of Stout Street, Urbana.
The fire started because of a space heater in a dog pen, said Urbana Fire Department Lt. Dave Newcomb. The pen had straw in it, he said, and even though it was set up correctly, it still ignited about 10 feet of fence.
