Man gets DUI ticket after crash
DEWEY – A Champaign man was ticketed for driving under the influence after his car rolled over north of Champaign early Saturday.
Philip W. Smith, 29, of the 1100 block of West Columbia Avenue was treated and released from Carle Foundation Hospital after a 1:30 a.m. crash on County Road 900 E, just north of 2550 N. Champaign County sheriff's Sgt. Dan Coile said Smith was driving north when his car left the road on the west side, rolled at least once and came to rest upright. Smith was wearing a seat belt.
