Racial climate survey of Champaign schools set for spring
CHAMPAIGN – The Champaign school district will conduct a racial climate survey in its schools this spring, the first since 2000. It's also the first survey since the district has been operating under a federal consent decree aimed at improving the educational experience for black students.
Mark Aber, a University of Illinois psychology professor, conducted the 2000 survey and will do this spring's as well.
