Catlin man dies after car is hit by train

FAIRMOUNT – A Catlin man died Monday afternoon after his car was struck by a train.

Lyndal W. Arnold, 70, was pronounced dead at 4:16 p.m. at the scene of the accident, which was on County Road 250 East, south of the Catlin-Homer Road near Fairmount, according to a release from the Vermilion County coroner's office.
