1944 alumna leaves UI $12 million after her death
URBANA – A woman who graduated from the University of Illinois on a four-year scholarship has left it $12 million richer.
Arlys Streitmatter Conrad, the daughter of a farmer and teacher from a farm town near Peoria, graduated from the Urbana campus in 1944. She died Sept. 6, 2007.
