Suspect sought in robbery/pepper-spraying in Champaign
CHAMPAIGN – A woman was robbed Saturday after a man sprayed pepper spray in her face.
According to a Champaign police report, a 34-year-old woman from Tolono was at the Circle K gas station on the 1100 block of North Prospect, Champaign, at 7:41 a.m. Saturday when a man walked up to her and began to spray pepper spray in her face. The man grabbed her purse and ran off.
