'Woodstock' drove filmmaking to new technological era
CHAMPAIGN – The making of the documentary "Woodstock" was so technologically advanced and involved so many people that one of its producers felt compelled to write a book about it.
Producer Dale Bell held that book, "Woodstock," with a foreword by Martin Scorsese, under his arm Wednesday evening at the University of Illinois president's home, where the opening reception for Roger Ebert's Film Festival took place.
