No charges filed in online prostitution case
CHAMPAIGN – Champaign County State's Attorney Julia Rietz has asked Champaign police for more information before deciding if she'll charge four men arrested in connection with Internet prostitution.
Champaign police issued a release Thursday afternoon saying that four men had been arrested Wednesday for soliciting a prostitute online. But Rietz had already decided Thursday morning that she would not be charging the men – three from Urbana and one from Champaign – until police supplied her with additional information.
