Prison board denies parole to man in '70s Danville murder
DANVILLE – The Illinois Prisoner Review in Springfield on Thursday denied granting parole to a man who fatally shot a 15-year-old Danville teen during a gas station robbery nearly 34 years ago.
Kenneth Tupy, the board's chief legal counsel, said the panel also decided that James Albert Dumas would not be eligible for parole again until April 2012.
