Toddler died in head-on crash

HOOPESTON - Police are still investigating a head-on collision that occurred on Wednesday near Hoopeston and claimed the life of a toddler.

Zachary Howard of Hoopeston would have turned 2 Thursday but died Wednesday from multiple blunt force trauma from the crash, according to Vermilion County Coroner Peggy Johnson.
