Blue Ridge district facing pre-K funding crunch

FARMER CITY – State budget problems continue to delay a decision on prekindergarten transportation in the Blue Ridge school district.

Superintendent Jay Harnack said the program may only receive 50 percent of its $222,000 prekindergarten grant from the state. He said that if the state does not fully fund the grant, prekindergarten transportation will not be provided, and some of the four sections may be cut.
