Decisions expected on Champaign magnet schools' themes
CHAMPAIGN – Two elementary schools in Champaign will focus on either international education or science, technology, engineering and math if the Champaign school board approves those themes this week.
The school district plans to create magnet schools at Garden Hills and Washington elementary schools. A committee has recommended two themes for the schools – Primary Years Programme/Fine Arts and STEM, or Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
