UI trustees next up for admissions panel probe
CHICAGO – Three University of Illinois trustees will testify Tuesday before a state panel investigating the extent of political clout in the school's admissions process.
A key witness will be former board Chairman Lawrence Eppley of Palatine, who forwarded to UI officials the names of several students pushed by ousted Gov. Rod Blagojevich and several of his allies.
