Man gets 5 years for burglary, battery

URBANA – A Blue Mound man convicted of aggressive acts aimed at his ex-girlfriend and her family has been sentenced to five years in prison.

Matthew Schwass, 27, pleaded guilty Thursday in Champaign and Macon counties to burglary and aggravated battery.
