School tax increase should be approved

Before my children were born, I was an elementary band and strings teacher in five of the current Champaign school buildings: Barkstall, Dr. Howard, Kenwood, Stratton and Westview.

At Kenwood, I taught my classes in the breezeway entrance on the north side of the building. Other classes going to and from physical education, music class, library instruction, lunch and recess walked through my classroom/hallway every few minutes.
