School board throws more money away

l wonder what organizations are breathlessly awaiting the abandonment of some so-called obsolete Champaign school buildings?

How about a history lesson on what has happened to former buildings: Lottie Switzer School to a private school (Judah Christian). Savoy School used as a Head Start school. Gregory and Lincoln schools are apartment buildings. Bondville School to a phone company building. Hensley School to private business. Colonel Wolfe School to University Early Childhood program. Columbia School for an alternative education program. Marquette School has a family planning program.
