White civil suit story was sensationalized

As longtime friends and neighbors of Kay Grabow, and the parents of one of her former students, we have appreciated through the years her professional and personal ethics, her strength of character and her commitment to childrens' well-being and education.

Now that she has been named a defendant in a civil suit, under the allegation that she did not submit a law-mandated report in the Jon White child abuse case, we feel obligated to publicly express our support for her. We are confident that when all the facts are presented she will be fully exonerated of any responsibility.
