Native son coming home to honor vets
GEORGETOWN – Whether talking about the success the U.S. is having in Afghanistan or his upcoming trip to his hometown, the enthusiasm of Brig. Gen. Joseph "Greg" Balskus is obvious, even over the phone.
Balskus, 52, a native of Georgetown who graduated from Westville High School, will serve as keynote speaker for the dedication of the new World War II Honor Roll at 11 a.m. Saturday on West West Street.
