Vermilion board District 6 candidates see taxes as main issue
DANVILLE - The three candidates – a newcomer and two incumbents – who are vying for two seats in District 6 of the Vermilion County board have one common goal – to keep the county's taxes from increasing.
The two incumbents and Republicans, Bob Fox and Craig Chambers, both of Danville, and Democratic challenger Kevin Flynn, also of Danville, believe taxes are the number-one issue facing the county board. And all three agree that in the last few years the county has accomplished that goal. But they believe it's just as important to keep expenses and taxes under control in the future.
