Apartment building takes heavy damage

Black smoke pours from the roof of an apartment building Friday at the Twin Oaks Apartments at 2427 W. Bradley Ave. in Champaign, as Champaign firefighters battle a blaze that burned through the roof there. The fire heavily damaged the 12-unit building. No injuries were reported.

CHAMPAIGN – Firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged the Twin Oaks apartment complex on West Bradley Avenue on Friday afternoon.

The roof of the two-story, 12-unit building at 2427 W. Bradley Ave. was burned through, and the west end and back of the building were heavily damaged. No injuries were reported.
